NEW CASTLE, Del. – The Felician College men’s basketball team shot 58 percent from the floor in its 81-65 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference interdivisional victory over host Wilmington (Del.) University on Saturday afternoon at Pratt Gymnasium. Felician is ranked No. 10 in the NCAA Division II East Region.

Junior Devon Young (Monmouth Junction, NJ) (7-11 FG) led all scorers with 21 points and added six rebounds for Felician (14-5, 7-3 CACC). Sophomore Antoine Obery (Roselle, NJ) (9-11 FG) continued his solid play of late with 20 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Felician also received 14 points on 7 of 12 shooting from junior Suquan Gary (Paterson, NJ).

The Golden Falcons out-shot Wilmington, 58-35 percent, in the first half to open up a 40-24 halftime lead. Their advantage grew as large as 18 points on two occasions before the Wildcats (6-12, 3-6) rattled off 13 consecutive points to pull within 44-39 with 13 minutes, 57 seconds to play. Still ahead by seven at the 9:29 mark, Felican scored eight straight points for a 63-48 edge, and the Wildcats never again got their deficit under double-digits. Felician forced 19 turnovers and blocked six shots on the afternoon.

Brandon Savage (Philadelphia, PA) topped four Wildcat double-figure scorers with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Felician, which has the best record in program history through 19 games, moved back into sole possession of second place in the CACC North Division.
