Felician sophomore guard Antoine Obery (Roselle, NJ/Abraham Clark) registered game highs of 22 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists, plus blocked three shots. Felician (13-4, 6-2), which never trailed, jumped out to an 18-4 lead after six minutes of action and used a banked-in three-point field goal from Obery in the closing seconds of the first period to take a 37-27 halftime advantage. A 14-2 spurt, capped by consecutive August buckets, gave the Golden Falcons a 62-39 edge with 8:27 to play, and the lead grew as large as 24 points. Devon Young (Monmouth Junction, NJ/South Brunswick) scored 18 points for Felician and Suquan Gary (Paterson, NJ/PCTI) added 10.
Senior Andrew Williams (St. Louis, MO/Hazelwood East) paced Nyack (10-9, 5-3) with 18 points and 10 rebounds, and teammate Lafayette Curtis (Staten Island, NY) had 13 points and eight boards off the bench.
