 RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College senior Janelle Biamonte of Secaucus has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the CACC announced today.
Biamonte, a 5-foot-9 forward/guard, averaged 16.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Golden Falcons. She scored 15 points and assisted on the game-winning basket in a 52-51 home victory over nationally-ranked Virginia State University on Friday. With three three-point field goals in each game, she became just the second female in school history to amass 100 career three pointers (currently 102).
On the season, Biamonte ranks 10th in the CACC in scoring (14.2 ppg) and sixth in rebounding (9.0 pg) for the 5-2 Golden Falcons. She is a 2006 graduate of Marist High of Bayonne.
