11/2/09 WOMEN'S SOCCER - Felician Draws Rams In CACC First Round Print E-mail
ImageRUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The Felician College women's soccer team is the No. 8 seed in the 2009 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament. Felician has drawn top-seeded Philadelphia University in Tuesday's tournament quarterfinals.

The match will kick off at 2 p.m. at Philadelphia's Ravenhill Field. Directions are available at www.caccathletics.org/information/directions/philadelphia. There will be an admission charge of $6 for adults and $3 for senior citizens and students with ID.

Philadelphia (12-4-3, 10-2 CACC) put four players on the All-CACC teams, including league Rookie of the Year Trisha Sileo and freshman goalkeeper Kelli Kowalewski on the First Team. Sileo led the Rams with 30 points on 13 goals and four assists while Gabrielle Haden scored 11 goals with four assists.

Felician (6-8-2, 4-5-2) is led by Second-Team All-CACC selection Derienne Jacobowitz, who has 11 goals and seven assists. Freshman Emily Gleason is also dangerous, with five goals and four assist. Like the Rams, the Golden Falcons feature a freshman goalkeeper in Allie Couzo, who has a 1.72 goals-against average and two shutouts.

Philadelphia won the regular-season meeting between the schools, 3-1, on Sept. 12.
