WATERBURY, Conn. – The Felician College men’s soccer team concluded its 2009 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference season with a 4-1 league loss to host Post University on Monday afternoon at LaMoy Field.
Felician (3-13-1, 1-9-1) fell behind, 2-0, after 24 minutes on a pair of goals by Post senior Maurice Johnson (Kingston, Jamaica). Golden Falcon senior Quincy Small (Linden, Guyana) cut his team’s deficit in half with an unassisted tally in the 32nd minute, but the visitors were only able to put one more shot on goal the rest of the afternoon.
The Eagles (7-7-2, 6-3-1) supplied the final margin by scoring twice in the match’s final 12 minutes. Johnson finished with two goals and an assist and teammates Frantzy Noze (Norwich, CT) and Dean Robinson (Kingston, Jamaica) each had a goal and an assist.
Freshman goalkeeper David Lo Bue (Elmwood Park, NJ) made six saves for Felician, which ends its season with a home match on Saturday afternoon against Mercy College.
