BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Freshman goalkeeper David Lo Bue (Elmwood Park, NJ) picked up his first career shutout as the Felician College men's soccer team earned a 1-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over host Concordia (N.Y.) College on Wednesday afternoon on the Concordia campus.
Felician (3-11-1, 1-7-1) received a unassisted goal from senior Conrad Symber (South Amboy, NJ) in the eighth minute and held on the rest of the way. Symber eluded a defender and beat the goalkeeper one-on-one.
Concordia (2-12, 2-7) owned slight advantages in shots (12-10) and shots on goal (6-4), but Lo Bue earned the victory with six saves. Rich Heredia had a team high five shots and Guilherme Ferreira made three saves for the Clippers.
The Golden Falcons snapped a nine-game winless streak.
