BLOOMFIELD, N.J. -- The Bloomfield men's soccer team scored twice in each half for a 4-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over visiting Felician College on Wednesday afternoon at Brookdale Park.
Junior Christian Raigoza (Medellin, Colombia) recorded two goals and two assists for Bloomfield, which opened the scoring in the 13th minute when Jeffrey Dapaah (Kumasi, Ghana) found the back of the net on a header. Raigoza struck at 31:39 to give the Deacons a 2-0 halftime lead.
Felician (2-11-1, 0-7-1) racked up 20 shots, forcing Bloomfield goalkeeper Steven Alonso (Kearny, NJ) to make seven saves to earn the shutout. The Golden Falcons best scoring chance came when freshman forward Jadean Blasse (Willingboro, NJ) had a shot cleared off the goal line by a Deacon defender late in the game.
Dapaah finished with a goal and an assist and Mamady Kaba (France) also scored for Bloomfield (5-7-1, 4-3-1). Felician keeper David Lo Bue (Elmwood Park, NJ) was credited with nine saves.
