HOLMDEL, N.J. -- The Felician College men's cross-country team put all five of its scorers among the top 25 finishers for a third-place team result at Saturday morning's Monmouth University Invitational at Holmdel Park.
Freshman Rob Albano (Pompton Plains, NJ) was Felician's No. 1 man, as he has been for all six races this season. On a course known for its mostly uphill nature, Albano completed 8,000 meters (approx. five miles) in 27 minutes, 32 seconds to finish third out of 68 entrants.
Freshman Taylor Trumbetti (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) and sophomore John Wambui (Mbita, Kenya) also broke 29 minutes. Trumbetti finished 15th overall in 28:50, while Wambui was 18th with a 28:55, marking the third time this season he has been among the team's top three finishers.
Also scoring for Felician were junior Jay Rodgers (Westmont, NJ) (22nd, 29:28) and senior Brad Schepise (Milltown, NJ) (24th, 29:42). Two Division I opponents, the host Hawks and Canisius College, finished ahead of the Golden Falcons in the team standings.
