RUTHERFORD, N.J. – A match against 2008 NCAA qualifier Molloy College highlights the non-conference portion of the 2009 Felician College men’s soccer schedule, which was released today.
Led by third-year head coach Patrick Snyder, Felician will play its 18-match slate entirely against Division II opponents. The Golden Falcons’ Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference schedule has increased from 10 to 11 matches due to the addition of Concordia (N.Y.) College (away, Oct. 3) to the league.
Molloy (away, Sept. 2) joins CACC foe Dominican (N.Y.) College (home, Oct. 6) as Felician opponents to appear in the final 2008 East regional ranking. The non-league schedule contains three opponents each from the Northeast-10 and East Coast Conferences.
“We’ve definitely supplemented our already difficult CACC schedule with some tough non-league competition in teams like Molloy and Bridgeport (away, Sept. 15), as well as the season-opening Stonehill Tournament (Aug. 28-29),” Snyder said. “These games will be a good measure of where we stand in the region.”
Felician is coming off a 6-10-1 overall won-lost-tied record in 2008 and a tie for eighth place in the CACC.
