Felician Athletics - 3/3/09 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Obery Selected CACC Rookie Of The Week

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College freshman Antoine Obery of Roselle has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week, the CACC announced today.

Obery, a 6-foot-3 guard, shot 10 for 12 from the field and recorded a season-high 22 points and 10 rebounds in Felician’s only action of last week, an 80-74 road loss to Post University on Feb. 24. In his team’s final game of the regular season, he added three assists and four blocked shots in 32 minutes.

On the season, Obery is averaging 8.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 26 games. He is the second Golden Falcon to be a CACC Rookie of the Week this season, joining forward Andrew August. Obery is a 2008 graduate of Abraham Clark High.
