SENNA WATERBURY, Conn. -- Felician College used a 17-hit attack for a 13-4 Game 1 victory over host Post University during the teams' CACC doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Municipal Stadium. Post rebounded for an 8-4 Game 2 victory.
In the opener, Felician sophomore right-hander William Senna (Wallingford, CT) (3-0) allowed two runs on six hits over eight innings of work. He struck out seven batters and walked one. He held the Eagles' offense back long enough for his teammates to snap a 1-1 tie with a five-run top of the fifth inning, highlighted by a Frank Quintana (Miami, FL) two-run homerun. The Golden Falcons tacked on two runs in the sixth inning and five more in the seventh. |

SCHOER LYNDHURST, N.J. – Sophomore Dave Schoer (Manalapan, NJ) hit a walk-off homerun in the bottom of the 11th inning to end Felician College’s 8-7 non-conference baseball victory over visiting Molloy College on Thursday afternoon at a chilly Breslin Field.
Batting with two outs and no one on base, Schoer blasted a 2-and-0 offering from Michael Maddi (Merrick, NY) (1-2), the sixth Molloy pitcher of the game, well over the left field fence. His second homerun of the year made a winner of Anthony Spina (Toms River, NJ) (3-0), who had stranded the potential go-ahead run on third base with one out in the top of the inning. |
