LYNDHURST, N.J. – Junior left-hander Danny Conti (Aberdeen, NJ/Matawan Regional) pitched his first career shutout on Tuesday evening, a three-hitter that lifted the Felician College baseball team to a 2-0 Game 2 victory over Nyack College and a sweep of the teams’ Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference doubleheader at Breslin Field. Felician (23-21, 13-11) also won Game 1, 13-6.
Conti needed only 70 pitches for his seven-inning victory in the nightcap. In a contest completed in one hour, 16 minutes, he walked none and struck out none. Conti pitched around three singles, a hit batsman, and two Golden Falcon errors, allowing only one Warrior to reach third base. |
