4/8/09 BASEBALL - Baseball Drops CACC Pair At Caldwell
PARSIPPANY, N.J. – The Felician College baseball team lost both ends of its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference doubleheader to host Caldwell College, 2-1 and 10-3, on Wednesday afternoon at Smith Field. Felician (15-14, 5-5) was limited to nine combined hits on the day.

4/6/09 BASEBALL - Torres Chosen As League Player Of The Week
Marcos TorresRUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College junior Marcos Torres of Miami, Fla., has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Baseball Player of the Week, the CACC announced today.

Torres, a 6-foot-1 catcher, batted .533 (8 for 15) with two doubles, a home run and seven runs batted in during the Golden Falcons’ 3-1 week. He had three hits in Thursday’s win over Molloy College, then went 5 for 8 in a doubleheader sweep of Post University on Sunday. Both teams are regionally ranked.

Marcos Torres was 5 for 8, including an inside-the-park home run, in a doubleheader sweep of Post on Apr 5.
WATERBURY, Conn. -- Junior Marcos Torres (Miami, FL) drove in the go-ahead run in each game as Felician College swept a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference baseball doubleheader from host Post University, 5-4 and 4-0, on Sunday afternoon at Municipal Stadium. Post entered the day in first place in the CACC and with a No. 8 ranking in the most recent NCAA Division II East Region writers poll.

Felician senior right-hander Albie Sanguiliano (Flemington, NJ) (3-2) combined with two relievers on a four-hit shutout in Game 2. Sanguiliano worked around four singles, four walks and two hit batsmen in 5 2/3 innings, escaping a bases-loaded jam in the fourth. The game remained scoreless until the top of the fifth inning, when Torres delivered a run-scoring single, and Alex Del Valle (Miami, FL) followed with an RBI double.
