 CALABRESE LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Senior Jeff Calabrese (Freehold, NJ), a full-time pitcher, played right field and homered in each game as Felician College swept a non-conference baseball doubleheader from host Lincoln (Pa.) University, 21-0 and 8-7, on Sunday afternoon at Lions Field.
Freshman third-baseman Mike Farrell (Lincroft, NJ) went 5 for 6 with two doubles and three runs batted in as Felician (10-12) put up a season-high run total in Game 1. The Golden Falcons had 17 base hits, 12 walks and five hit batsmen in the contest. Calabrese, who had had two at-bats in his career entering the day, hit a pinch-hit, two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning. He stayed in the game, and finished 1 for 1 with two runs scored and three RBI. |

FLEMINGTON, N.J. – The Felician College baseball team lost both ends of its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference doubleheader to visiting Wilmington (Del.) University, 2-1 and 5-2, on Saturday afternoon at Diamond Nation. The games marked the beginning of the conference season for both schools. Wilmington pitchers limited Felician to 10 base hits in the twinbill. |

 MONTEAGUDO NEWARK, N.J. – Five Felician College pitchers combined to scatter seven hits in the Golden Falcons’ 7-1 non-conference baseball victory over host Bloomfield College on Wednesday afternoon at West Side Park. Senior Phil Messerian (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) homered and drove in three runs for Felician.
Sophomore right-hander Victor Monteagudo (West Palm Beach, FL/John I. Leonard) (2-1) allowed two hits, struck out three batters and walked one in four innings of work for the Golden Falcons (8-10). Messerian finished 2 for 4 and scored three times, and Alex Del Valle (Miami, FL/Columbus) (RBI, two stolen bases) and Joe Petosa (Spotswood, NJ/Spotswood) also had two hits apiece. |
