4/23/07 BASEBALL - Felician Comes From 7-0 Down To Beat First-Place Caldwell

PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- A nine-run fifth inning keyed Felician College's come-from-behind, 15-11 CACC baseball victory over host Caldwell College on Monday afternoon at Smith Field. Caldwell rebounded to win a second, non-conference game between the teams, 13-7.

In Game 1, Caldwell (18-9, 9-3), the CACC's first-place team, took a 7-0 lead after three innings. Felician received a solo homerun from Frank Quintana (Miami, FL) in the fourth, then put 11 consecutive runners on base after having its first two batters retired in the fifth. Key hits in the inning were a two-run single by Chris Flynn (Keyport, NJ), a two-run double from Albie Sanguiliano (Flemington, NJ), a pinch-hit, go-ahead two-run single by Marcos Torres (Miami, FL) and a rally-capping two-run homerun by Vinnie DiBenedetti (Forked River, NJ).

4/19/07 BASEBALL - Felician Loses Pair To No. 3 Kutztown
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Kutztown University baseball team swept a non-conference doubleheader from host Felician College, 8-3 and 10-6, on Thursday afternoon at Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George. Kutztown is ranked No. 3 in the latest Collegiate Baseball Magazine national Division II poll.

4/14/07 BASEBALL - Quintana Powers Felician's Sweep Of Rams

Frank Quintana hit three homeruns on Saturday.
LYNDHURST, N.J. – Felician College senior Frank Quintana (Miami, FL/South Miami) hit three homeruns during his team’s doubleheader sweep of visiting Philadelphia University, 8-4 and 5-4, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference baseball action Saturday afternoon at Breslin Field.

In Game 1, Quintana hit two-run homers to centerfield in each of his first two at-bats to give Felician (15-18, 4-5) a 4-0 edge after three innings. The Golden Falcons would go on to lead, 8-0, through five. Starter William Senna (Wallingford, CT/Sheehan) (4-0) was the beneficiary of the early offense, allowing one run on six hits in 6 1/3 innings to earn the win. Senna struck out five batters and walked three.
