For the first time, the entire Northeast Region in Division II will play regional regular-season games with wooden bats. Since Felician is without four of its top five hitters from last year, but returns its entire starting pitching rotation, fifth-year head coach Chris Langan is breathing a sigh of relief at the timing of the decision. |

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Silvio Censale Jr. of Lodi has been named the pitching coach for the Felician College baseball team, head coach Chris Langan announced today.
A 10th-round draft choice of the Philadelphia Phillies in 1993, Censale played six years in the Phillies’ minor-league system, including the last three for Class AA Reading. In 95 games, he was 33-27 with a save and a 4.48 earned-run average. After being released, the left-hander played professionally in Italy, and was named Pitcher of the Year in 2000. He pitched for the Italian national team in 2003, sandwiched by stints in American independent leagues. |
