WORCESTER, Mass. – Despite 18 points and six rebounds from junior Quay Baskerville (Hartford, CT), the Felician College women’s basketball team lost its 2009-10 season opener to host Assumption College on Friday night at Laska Gymnasium. The game was part of the Courtyard Marriott Classic, hosted by Assumption.
The Felician College women’s basketball team made modest improvements last year, its first under head coach Steve Fagan. With six new faces on the 2009-10 roster, the Golden Falcons hope to continue the upward trend.
Fagan and his staff needed to replenish the personnel after six seniors were lost to graduation a year ago. Those players left a legacy he hopes the current squad will emulate.
