1/7/10 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Felician Wins In DeFerrari's Return To Caldwell

CALDWELL, N.J. -- The Felician College men's basketball team improved to 3-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play with an 80-68 CACC North Division victory over host Caldwell College on Thursday night at the Newman Center.

A three-point field goal by junior Mike Edghill (Plainfield, NJ) in the closing seconds of the first half sent Felician (10-2, 3-0) into the locker room with a 36-27 advantage. Classmate Devon Young (Monmouth Junction, NJ) then scored five points during a 7-0 Golden Falcon run to begin the second period. Caldwell would never pull back to within a single-digit deficit for the rest of the night, with Felician leading by as many as 23 points. Young led all scorers with 17 points.

1/2/10 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Kennedy, Moseley Spark Men's Basketball Victory

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Senior center Ethan Kennedy (Albuquerque, NM/Highland) scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Felician College to a 92-85 non-conference men’s basketball victory over visiting New York Institute of Technology on Saturday afternoon at Job Gymnasium.

Junior guard Ryan Moseley (Teaneck, NJ/Teaneck) gave Felician the lead for good with four minutes, 19 seconds, remaining in the game, canning a long three-point field goal to break a 76-76 tie. That shot came in the midst of an 18-6 run which turned a five-point deficit into a into 83-76 lead with 3:09 to play. NYIT pulled to within 85-83 at the 1:26 mark, but a Suquan Gary (Paterson, NJ/PCTI) jumper, a defensive stop, and two Kennedy free throws helped clinch the victory. Felician (9-2) trailed, 43-42, at halftime and by as many as eight points in the second half.

12/22/09 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Obery Flirts With Triple-Double As Men Top Dowling

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Felician College men’s basketball team received 22 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists from sophomore guard Antoine Obery (Roselle, NJ/Abraham Clark) in its 74-55 non-conference victory over visiting Dowling College on Tuesday night at Job Gymnasium.

Obery scored the last five points of a 12-0 second-half run which turned a one-point Felician lead into a 54-41 advantage with eight minutes, 32 seconds, remaining in the contest. The closest Dowling came after that point was a nine-point deficit at the 4:23 mark, but the Golden Falcons (8-2) closed the game with a 16-6 spurt, including three dunks in their final five possessions, to finish with their largest lead of the night.

12/17/09 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Forestieri Added To Coaching Staff
Brad ForestieriRUTHERFORD, N.J.Brad Forestieri of Elmwood Park has been named an assistant men’s basketball coach at Felician College, head coach David DeFerrari announced today.

Forestieri enters his first collegiate coaching position. He was formerly an assistant at Paramus Catholic High and Elmwood Park High. After attending Felician for one year, he played for back-to-back conference championship teams at Bergen Community College. In 2005-06, he was a junior college Division 3 Honorable Mention All-American.
