1/14/08 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Thomas Named To MBWA Honor Roll

Derrell Thomas '08 is the first Felician men's player to be honored by the MBWA this season.
RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College senior Derrell Thomas of Harlem, N.Y., has been named to the Presto Sports/Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Weekly Men’s Honor Roll, the MBWA announced today.

The MBWA Player of the Week and Weekly Honor Roll are chosen from the nearly 75 senior colleges that play basketball in the New York tri-state area. One set of awards for each gender is selected out of nominees from all three NCAA Divisions by a panel of eight media members. This week’s MBWA Men’s Player of the Week was Bryant Dunston of Fordham University.

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Felician College men’s basketball team nearly survived shooting 30 percent from the floor, but ultimately bowed to visiting Nyack College, 61-60, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference North Division action Saturday afternoon at Job Gymnasium.

1/10/08 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Back-And-Forth Game Swings Against Felician, 88-83
RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- In a game which featured 12 lead changes, including 10 in the second half, Post University used a late 9-0 run to clinch an 88-83 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference North Division men's basketball victory over host Felician College on Thursday night at Job Gymnasium.

1/5/08 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Felician Rolls Past USP, 78-50

PHILADELPHIA – The Felician College men’s basketball team shot a season-high 56.6 percent from the floor in its 78-50 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over host University of the Sciences in Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon at Morgan Arena.

Felician (6-6, 1-2) saw a 38-23 halftime lead cut to nine points with seven minutes gone by in the second half. But two three-point field goals by Golden Falcon sophomore Nijel Robinson (Plainsboro, NJ) book-ended an 11-0 run, putting his team ahead, 53-33, with 11:02 to play. USP never drew closer than 13 points after that, with the final 28-point margin Felician’s largest lead of the day. The Golden Falcons shot 65.2 percent in the second half, and a season-best 45.5 percent from three-point range (10-22) for the afternoon.
