9/29/07 VOLLEYBALL - Felician Sweeps Griffins; Clements Wins First

CLEMENTS

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Alan Clements earned his first victory as a senior college head coach as the Felician College volleyball team defeated visiting Chestnut Hill College, 3-0 (30-22, 30-9, 30-11), in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference interdivision action Saturday afternoon at Job Gymnasium.

Felician (1-12, 1-5) hit a season-high .312 and held Chestnut Hill to a negative attack percentage. After recovering from losing the match’s first four points in Game 1, the Golden Falcons jumped out to leads of 14-3 in Game 2 (eventually hitting .619) and 14-2 in Game 3. Clements is in his first season at Felician after posting a 13-4 record at Bergen Community College in 2006.
