 RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College freshman Jenna Matesic of Paramus has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week, the CACC announced today.
Matesic, a 5-foot-9 outside hitter, averaged 2.36 kills, 2.36 digs and 0.64 blocks per set in 11 sets over three matches last week, all during the Kutztown Challege tournament over the weekend. During her team’s first victory of the season, a five-setter over Mercy College on Saturday in Kutztown, Pa., she recorded 13 kills, 15 digs, three blocks and five service aces for her first career “double-double.” |

After falling behind two sets to one against Mercy, the Golden Falcons (1-4) had 17 kills and a .518 attack percentage in Set 4. In the decisive fifth set, junior Amber Doran (Little Ferry, NJ), sophomore Megan Delamater (Paramus, NJ), and freshman Jenna Matesic (Paramus, NJ) had two kills apiece. |

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The American International College women’s volleyball team won both ends of a non-conference tri-match hosted by Felician College on Saturday afternoon at Job Gymnasium. AIC defeated Molloy College, 3-1, before earning a three-set victory over the host Golden Falcons. In the day’s first match, Felician dropped its season opener to Molloy, 3-0. |
