9/29/09 VOLLEYBALL - DiSalvo Sets Ace Record In Victory

Ashlee DiSalvo had a school-record eight service aces on Sept. 29, 2009.

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Sophomore defensive specialist Ashlee DiSalvo (Batavia, NY/Batavia) set a Felician College single-match record with eight service aces as the Golden Falcons defeated visiting Concordia (N.Y.) College, 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-21) in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference volleyball action Tuesday night at Job Gymnasium.

DiSalvo had five aces in the second set alone, and her eight total aces came against only one service error. She also led Felician with nine digs. The Golden Falcons (3-10, 2-4) also received 11 kills and six digs from freshman Jenna Matesic (Paramus, NJ/Paramus) and seven kills and 23 assists from junior Nicole Degenhardt (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus).

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia University volleyball team earned a 3-0 (25-12, 25-10, 25-21) victory over visiting Felician College in the teams' Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference interdivisional match on Saturday afternoon at the Gallagher Center.
