First-year Felician College volleyball coach Amber Butler was aware of the program’s lack of consistent success when she accepted the position in March. So she has taken an approach her first preseason that does not dwell solely on results.
“We’re working on skill improvement, teamwork, camaraderie – we have to get all the players to work together,” Butler said. “We’re making sure everyone knows their roles. Only then can we accomplish the outcome of winning.”

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Recent high-school graduate Alexa Scrivanich of Paramus has signed a national letter of intent to continue her volleyball career at Felician College, Golden Falcon head coach Amber Butler announced today.
RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Amber Butler of Secaucus has been named the head women’s volleyball coach at Felician College, director of athletics Ben DiNallo Jr. announced today. She is the third coach in program history.
Butler has spent the last two years as an assistant coach at Montclair State University. In 2009 the Red Hawks were a New Jersey Athletic Conference finalist and won the NJAC regular-season championship. She has also served one season as the head coach of Hoboken High.
