10/29/08 WOMEN'S SOCCER - Women Drop Regular-Season Finale To Dominican

ORANGEBURG, N.Y. -- Despite the 20th goal of the season for sophomore D.J. Jacobowitz (Staten Island, NY), the Felician College women's soccer team lost to host Dominican (N.Y.) College, 3-2, in CACC action Wednesday afternoon at the DC Soccer Field. It was the final match of the regular season for both teams.

10/27/08 WOMEN'S SOCCER - Jacobowitz Wins Second Player-of-Week Honor

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College sophomore Derienne “D.J.” Jacobowitz of Staten Island, N.Y., has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, the CACC announced today. It is Jacobowitz’s second such honor of the 2008 season.

Jacobowitz, a 5-foot-5 forward, recorded four goals and two assists in a 2-1 week for the Golden Falcons. She scored the tying and winning goals in the second half of last Thursday’s 3-2 non-conference home victory over Mercy College, in the process breaking the school records for goals and points in a season. She followed with two goals and two assists, all in the first half, during a 4-2 CACC home win against Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday. She was credited with the game-winning goal in both victories.
