Felician Athletics - Soccer (W)

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- A tiebreaking goal by freshman Cassie Indri (Lyndhurst, NJ/Lyndhurst) in the 65th minute lifted the Felician College women's soccer team to a 4-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over visiting Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday evening at Memorial Park.

With the match knotted, 1-1, Indri collected a deflection off of a Goldey-Beacom defender in front of the net and put a 12-yard shot inside the left goalpost. Felician (4-4, 3-2) then took full control when Derienne Jacobowitz (Staten Island, NY/Moore Catholic) scored on a header nearly six minutes later.

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Corner kicks by Felician College junior midfielder Anna Petersen (Newton, NJ/Newton) led to her team’s final two goals, sealing the Golden Falcons’ 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women’s soccer victory over visiting Post University on Wednesday night at Tryon Field.

Offensive chances were scarce in a scoreless first half, as the teams combined for just eight shots. Felician (3-4, 2-2) broke through on the scoreboard in the 60th minute, when defender Amanda Mottola (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus) played a long ball ahead to Derienne Jacobowitz (Staten Island, NY/Moore Catholic). After letting the ball bounce, Jacobowitz knocked a 30 yard shot over the goalkeeper and into the net.

PHILADELPHIA -- The Felician College women's soccer team received two goals from junior Anna Petersen (Newton, NJ) but lost, 6-2, to host Holy Family University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action Saturday afternoon at Tiger Field.

9/16/09 WOMEN'S SOCCER - Newcomers Key 2-0 Win At Nyack

Allie Couzo earned her first collegiate shutout on Sept. 16.

NYACK, N.Y. -- Freshman goalkeeper Allie Couzo (Sayreville, NY) recorded her first career shutout and classmate Cassie Indri (Lyndhurst, NJ) scored her first collegiate goal as the Felician College women's soccer team defeated host Nyack College, 2-0, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's soccer action Wednesday afternoon at Moseley Field.

After a scoreless first half, Felician (2-3, 1-1) took the lead when transfer Anna Petersen (Newton, NJ) picked up her first goal as a Golden Falcon. Just over 11 minutes into period two, a shot from Felician leading scorer Derienne Jacobowitz (Staten Island, NY) hit the cross bar. Petersen got to the carom and finished for the eventual game-winner.
