9/22/08 SOCCER - Pair Of Soccer Players Honored By CACC

Lindsey Petry is the CACC Player of the Week for Sept. 22.
RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College senior Lindsey Petry of Newton has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, the CACC announced today. Additionally, the conference selected Felician freshman Carlos Canido of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, as Men’s Soccer Co-Rookie of the Week.

Petry, a 5-foot-8 central midfielder, recorded three goals and five assists during a 3-0 week for the Golden Falcons, participating in eight of the nine goals her team scored during the week. She recorded a goal and two assists in a 3-0 win over Bloomfield last Tuesday, one goal and one helper as Felician won at St. Thomas Aquinas College, 3-2 on Thursday, and a goal and two assists in Saturday’s home triumph over Chestnut Hill College.

9/20/08 WOMEN'S SOCCER - Petry Keys Third Consecutive Victory

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Senior midfielder Lindsey Petry (Newton, NJ/Kittatinny) had a goal and two assists to lead the Felician College women's soccer team to a 3-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over visiting Chestnut Hill College on Saturday afternoon at Tryon Field. Felician has won three consecutive games.

Sophomore D.J. Jacobowitz (Staten Island, NY/Moore Catholic) gave the Golden Falcons (3-4, 2-1) the lead just four minutes, 53 seconds, into the match. After setting up Jacobowitz's goal, Petry scored on a strong individual effort in the 16th minute, beating four defenders before getting a 10-yard shot into the lower left corner of the net. Felician took the 2-0 advantage into halftime.

9/18/08 WOMEN'S SOCCER - Women Pick Up First Road Win, Down STAC, 3-2

POMONA, N.Y. -- Senior Lindsey Petry (Newton, NJ) and sophomore Nora Selimovic (Ridgefield Park, NJ) registered a goal and an assist apiece as Felician College defeated host Saint Thomas Aquinas College, 3-2, in non-conference women's soccer action Thursday night at Reisman Park. Felician earned its first road win of 2008.

Goals by D.J. Jacobowitz (Staten Island, NY) and Selimovic allowed Felician (2-4) to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. Selimovic scored on a blast from nearly 40 yards away with just one minute, 28 seconds, left before intermission.

Jacobowitz (Staten Island, NY/Moore Catholic) scored two goals to lead Felician College to a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women’s soccer victory over visiting Bloomfield College on Tuesday night. The win was the first in the collegiate career of Felician head coach Thomas Notte.
