Small, a transfer from Globe Institute of Technology, collected a lead pass from Boris Shabovta (Manalapan, NJ/Dewey [NY]) and scored from 20 yards out in the 36th minute for the contest’s first goal and eventual game-winner. It was his first goal as a Golden Falcon. With fewer than three minutes remaining before halftime, a free kick deflected off a C.W. “It’s an unspoken force every day -- it’s definitely the 500-pound gorilla in the room,” said Snyder, whose squad was eliminated from contention on the final day of the 2007 regular season. “Missing the playoffs hurt deep, not only for last year’s seniors, but for the veterans we have coming back to have to be a part of the first Felician team in nine years not to make it. It’s a big reason why our only tangible goal for the season is to reach the conference championship game.”
