Felician Athletics - Soccer (M)

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Ivan Lewis of Passaic has been named an assistant men’s basketball coach at Felician College, head coach Del G. Harrison announced today.

Lewis, a 2004 cum laude graduate of Felician, enters his first collegiate coaching position. He will specialize in player development of the guards and assist with recruiting. Lewis returns to the Golden Falcons after serving three seasons as the lead assistant at Elmwood Park (N.J.) Memorial High School. The Crusaders won three division titles and the 2006-07 Group I sectional state championship while he was on staff.

FRACZEK

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College senior Lukas Fraczek of Szczytno, Poland, has been named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Soccer First Team, the CACC released today. The conference’s 11 head coaches voted on the award winners.

Fraczek, a 6-foot, 176-pound defender, was named to the all-conference team for the fourth time in his career, earning his first First Team selection. In 2008, he started all 17 games at center back/sweeper, scoring two goals. He was named Second-Team All-CACC each of his first three seasons as a Golden Falcon. Fraczek is a 2004 graduate of The Winchendon School in Massachusetts.

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College senior Paulo DosSantos of Toronto, Canada, has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, the CACC announced today.

DosSantos, a 6-foot, 171-pound goalkeeper, finished his career with a pair of road shutouts last week, including a 1-0 victory over nationally-ranked Dominican (N.Y.) College on Oct. 28. In that contest, he made seven saves, including two in the final 23 seconds. Two days later, he stopped 10 shots in a 3-0 win over the University of New Haven. He faced 32 shots and helped defend 17 corner kicks in the two games.
