RUTHERFORD, N.J. – While pursuing his dream of playing professional soccer, 2009 Felician College graduate Jason James has unexpectedly taken a different path. James has found “a renewed sense of purpose in life” while playing for the elite amateur Southern California Seahorses of the United Soccer Leagues (USL) Premier Development League (PDL).

The USL is the largest organization of elite-level soccer leagues in North America, and sponsors two divisions of professional soccer in addition to the PDL. The Seahorses play in the Southwest Division of the USL PDL’s Western Conference and play home games at Biola University in La Mirada, Calif.

The Seahorses also are under the umbrella of Missionary Athletes International, which has as its mission to communicate the message of Jesus Christ through the environment of soccer. Team members have an hour per day of sports ministry training, perform local outreach activities, and run camps that combine soccer with developing young Christians.

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Patrick Snyder of Chesterfield has resigned as the head men’s soccer coach at Felician College, director of athletics Ben DiNallo Jr. announced today. Snyder will pursue other opportunities in coaching.

11/3/09 MEN'S SOCCER - Sinic Named CACC Rookie Of The Week

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Felician College sophomore Kevin Sinic of Leibnitz, Austria, has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week, the CACC announced on Monday.

Sinic, a 6-foot-3 midfielder, had two assists in Felician's season-ending 1-1 week last week. Both helpers came in the Golden Falcons' 3-1 victory over Mercy College on Saturday, including one on teammate Quincy Small's game-winning goal.
