LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- Led by a 56th place finish from freshman Toni Fowler (Mount Holly, NJ), the Felician women's cross-country team ended its season by placing 17th out of 29 schools at the NCAA Division II East Regional Championship on Saturday morning on the campus of Lock Haven University.

10/20/07 WOMEN'S CROSS-COUNTRY - Felician Places Three On All-CACC Team, Finishes Second

Toni Fowler '11 was Felician's top finisher at the CACC Championship
PHILADELPHIA – Three members of the Felician College women’s cross-country team attained all-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference status at the eighth CACC Championship, hosted by the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia on Saturday morning at Belmont Plateau inside Fairmount Park. Felician finished second in the team standings for the third consecutive year.

By CACC rules, the first 15 finishers in the race were automatically named all-conference. The Golden Falcons’ top runner was freshman Toni Fowler (Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley), who completed the 5,000-meter (3.1-mile) course in 19 minutes, 58 seconds, good for sixth place out of 73 competitors. Junior Amanda Scibetta (Middletown, NJ/Middletown North), the 2006 individual champion, turned in her third straight all-CACC performance, finishing seventh in 20:40. Sarah Root (Aberdeen, NJ/Old Bridge) joined five other freshmen on the all-conference team, ending up 14th in 21:11.

10/13/07 WOMEN'S CROSS-COUNTRY - Felician Second At Cabrini, Leads CACC Delegation

PHILADELPHIA -- In its final tune-up for next weekend's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship, the Felician women's cross-country team finished second out of 15 schools at the Cabrini College Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Belmont Plateau.

Running on the CACC championship course, the Golden Falcons placed first out of seven league schools in attendance. Felician scored 82 points, 13 behind meet champion Ursinus College and one better than defending CACC champion Georgian Court University. It was the first time in three head-to-head meetings this year that the Golden Falcons out-pointed GCU.
