10/20/07 MEN'S CROSS-COUNTRY - Chegwidden (Meet Record), Felician Win CACC X-C Meet

Paul Chegwidden is the 2007 CACC Men's Runner of the Year
PHILADELPHIA – The Felician College men’s cross-country team placed seven runners in the top 12 in winning the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference team title at the league championship meet on Saturday morning at Fairmount Park’s Belmont Plateau. It was the fourth consecutive conference championship for Felician and its sixth in the eight-year history of the event. Felician senior Paul Chegwidden (Hamburg, NJ/Wallkill Valley) was the individual champion.

Chegwidden traversed the 8,000-meter (5-mile) course in 26 minutes, 35 seconds. He won the race by 54.16 seconds, and broke the meet record, set by Walter Tum of Bloomfield College in 2004, by five seconds. For his efforts, he was named CACC Runner of the Year, Felician’s first on the men’s side since 2001.

10/18/07 CROSS-COUNTRY - Felician, Georgian Court Set To Defend Titles Saturday

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Felician College men and the Georgian Court University women will attempt to defend their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) cross-country titles this weekend at the 2007 Championships in Philadelphia. The event will return to Belmont Plateau this season, with the women (5k) starting at 10:30 a.m. and the men (8k) to follow at approximately 11:15 a.m.

10/15/07 MEN'S CROSS-COUNTRY - Rodgers Earns Third CACC Rookie Of Week Award

Jay Rodgers has been named CACC Rookie of the Week three times.
RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College freshman Jay Rodgers of Westmont has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Cross-Country Rookie of the Week, the CACC announced today. It is his third such honor of the 2007 season.

Rodgers finished in 12th place out of 159 entrants at Saturday’s Cabrini College Invitational at Belmont Plateau inside Fairmount Park in Philadelphia. He completed the 8,000-meter course in a season-low 27 minutes, 50 seconds, to lead Felician and end up second among CACC runners. Rodgers is a 2007 graduate of Haddon Township High.

10/13/07 MEN'S CROSS-COUNTRY - Freshmen Lead Harriers To Third Place Finish

PHILADELPHIA -- With four freshman occupying the five scoring positions, the Felician men's cross-country team finished third out of 19 schools at the Cabrini College Invitational on Saturday at Belmont Plateau.

On the last weekend before the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship, Felician coach John Brennan rested most of his upperclass regulars. Nevertheless, the Golden Falcons placed first in the team standings out of six CACC members in attendance. Only champion Haverford College and runner-up Rutgers University-Camden out-pointed the Golden Falcons.
