PETERS PHILADELPHIA -- Led by a school record 75 from sophomore Joe Peters (Barnegat, NJ/Southern Regional), the Felician College golf team finished third in a four-way dual match hosted by the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia on Thursday at Island Green Country Club. Shooting a school record four-man one-day total, Felician defeated Immaculata College, 347-357, for its first dual victory of the season.
Peters was the medalist with his three-over-par 18-hole round, the first time in his collegiate career he finished first in an event with more than two teams entered. He bested his own individual school record, set in last year's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship, by two strokes. He also broke 80 in consecutive rounds for the first time as a Golden Falcon. |
