Del Harrison was named head men's basketball coach at Felician College in the spring of 2005. The Golden Falcons reached the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference playoffs in each of his first two seasons. In June 2007, he was promoted to the full-time position of coordinator of recreation and game operations.
Harrison has coached four all-conference players and one all-region performer, plus 2008 CACC Rookie of the Year Devon Young. Before earning the head job, he was a Felician assistant coach for four years, including the Golden Falcons' ECAC Championship season of 2003-04.
From 1997-2002, Harrison was the head boys' coach at Plainfield High School. His teams won a conference championship and reached a state sectional final. He also won a Star-Ledger Union County Coach of the Year award.
Harrison was a Division III All-American at Jersey City State College (now New Jersey City University) as a senior in 1989-90. He is the Gothic Knights' second all-time leading scorer with 2,011 career points, and is a former New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year. The Knights were 90-21 during his career. He was inducted into the JCSC Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996.
Harrison received a BA in economics from JCSC in 1991. A Plainfield native, he was a member of Plainfield High's state championship team in 1983.
