Bio: Erin Fitzgerald was selected as the second women’s soccer coach at Felician College in April of 2003. She has since been promoted to assistant director of athletics and senior woman administrator. In her administrative role, she oversees the scheduling, budgets and travel for all 10 intercollegiate sports, and moderates the College’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Fitzgerald directed the Golden Falcons to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference championship game in 2003. Felician finished 10-10-1 overall that year and was third in the CACC standings with a 7-3 league mark.

Fitzgerald came to Felician after three years as the head coach at her alma mater, Saint Peter’s College. She was an assistant for three seasons for the Division-I Peahens before ascending to the head job in 2000.

Fitzgerald earned 12 varsity letters at Saint Peter’s in soccer, swimming and softball, and was an Academic All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference honoree in all three sports. As a goalkeeper, she helped the Peahens to the 1996 MAAC regular-season championship, and still holds the school record for single-season goals-against average (0.67, 1994). She graduated in 1997 with a double-major in communications and elementary education/psychology.

As a high school sophomore, Fitzgerald was instrumental in starting the girls’ soccer program at Morris Hills High in Rockaway. After playing on the boys’ team for two years, she helped form a girls’ squad in the spring of 1991 and was the starting goalkeeper for the first varsity game that fall.

She is the chair of the CACC Women’s Soccer Committee and a member of the NCAA Division II New England Regional Advisory Committee. She resides in Rutherford.
